Hospice of Lancaster County

We have worked with Lapp since 1995 when Hospice was being built. Over the years, Lapp has provided us with continual service and solutions. Among our most recent challenges: reducing our electrical usage throughout our 58,000 sq. ft. facility and protecting our computers from lightning strikes.

The Lapp Solution:

When Hospice asked about reducing electrical usage, we created several options that we felt could easily be incorporated into the existing electrical wiring. The solution that made the most sense was motion-censored lighting. By installing censors in areas like supply rooms, storage areas, pantries and bathrooms, Hospice is better able to control its usage. This system also creates a more sterile environment by reducing touch points where germs can spread.

Jay Group

One of the largest projects in Jay Group's history was the consolidation of two existing production facilities into its new Elizabethtown building. The plan for the new facility called for 10 production lines, support systems for the production lines and four-million dollars of new co-packing equipment.

The Lapp Solution:

Once the master plan was complete, it was our job to design the electrical systems to serve the warehouse production areas. We based our design on the electrical requirements of the equipment needed for all of the production lines. Two key components of our plans were the flexibility to allow easy changes in their line configuration and allowances for future growth and system expansion. This approach provides long-term savings and convenience to the customer.
