Hospice of Lancaster County

We have worked with Lapp since 1995 when Hospice was being built. Over the years, Lapp has provided us with continual service and solutions. Among our most recent challenges: reducing our electrical usage throughout our 58,000 sq. ft. facility and protecting our computers from lightning strikes.

Lapp Solution:

When Hospice asked about reducing electrical usage, we created several options that we felt could easily be incorporated into the existing electrical wiring. The solution that made the most sense was motion-censored lighting. By installing censors in areas like supply rooms, storage areas, pantries and bathrooms, Hospice is better able to control its usage. This system also creates a more sterile environment by reducing touch points where germs can spread.

By consulting with Lapp’s lightening protection specialists, Hospice was able to protect its data from a possible electrical surge. We worked with Hospice to determine the most critical areas in need of protection. By installing surge protectors, we were able to safeguard Hospice’s computer server.
