Check to see if there is a patch cable connected from the patch panel to the network switch. If there is a patch cable plugged in, check for a link light on the network switch. Each port has a connection indicator or “link light” that should be lit when there is a device attached to it.
If the link light is not lit and all the devices are plugged in, you may have a wiring problem or a bad port on the switch or computer.
If there is a link light but your still not able to connect to the network, you may have a computer or network setting issue.
