What to do when an outlet in your kitchen, bathroom or outside stops working.

If an electrical outlet in your kitchen, bathroom or outside your house suddenly stops working check your ground-fault circuit interrupters (GFCIs).  GFCIs provide protection from shock in damp or wet locations.  Pushing the reset button will restore power to the outlet.  If an outside outlet is the trouble, the GFCI outlet may be located in the garage or basement of your home.
