Presidential Visit - Photo Gallery

Lapp Electrical Service hosted President George W. Bush at its East Lampeter (Lancaster County) facility on July 9, 2004. The Friday afternoon campaign stop concluded a week of emotional highs and frantic preparation. "I don't know of any higher honor you could have," stated founder Manny Lapp. Tim Lapp, VP/General Manager added, "It's exciting. We're all fired up." Tim believes the president's campaign chose Lapp because of the firm's solid values.

In his talk to about 250 Lapp employees, family members and invited guests, President Bush praised the entrepreneurial spirit of the Lapps and other small business owners. Bush often referred to Tim and his brother Greg (President) as "the Lapp boys." Rightfully proud Lapp employees surrounded the president during his more than one hour talk in the warehouse which was quickly converted to accommodate a visit from our Commander in Chief.

While the preparation and campaign stop only lasted a week, the memories of a personal visit from the President of the United States to Lapp Electrical Service will remain in the hearts and minds of every person in attendance.

Greg Lapp was sorry that more customers and friends couldn't attend. "We would have loved to have been able to invite more people, but the location simply couldn't accommodate it," stated Greg. "We hope everyone can share in our pride that President Bush chose to visit Lancaster County and Lapp Electrical Service. We'll remember this forever."
